After much discussion and interest, the Board of PrayerFlight would like to invite you to expand our ministry by starting or joining a state PrayerFlight Chapter. Leaning on the mission of PrayerFlight, II Chronicles 7:14; "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land", it is our intent to do as the bible commands - pray for our states and nation by expanding this mission through the formation of state chapters.

 

The make-up of a state chapter will consist of a state director, assistant state director and members. State directors shall be responsible to hold monthly meetings or as designated by the state chapter members. State PrayerFlight meetings shall focus on a devotion and prayer, PrayerFlight mission planning and various chapter activities. State directors shall be elected by their state members once the chapter has been established and sanctioned by the national PrayerFlight board.

 

State chapters are in the best position to determine when their state organizations should conduct a PrayerFlight mission and shall pre-plan and fly those missions as determined by the chapter membership. As an example, Ohio's PrayerFlight plan on flying one PrayerFlight mission per month (on average).

 

On the national level, PrayerFlight will continue to conduct national flights as determined by the National PrayerFlight Board. Currently, the National Day of Prayer is the only national PrayerFlight mission being flown. State chapters will be expected to take part in national PrayerFlights.

 

Each PrayerFlight mission that is conducted shall be recorded by the state chapter and reported to the National PrayerFlight Board for activity tracking and annual report purposes.

 

It is the intent of PrayerFlight to hold an annual Fly-In/Convention where our state directors shall be installed during the evening celebration program.

 

Annual chapter dues will be determined by the national PrayerFlight Board to support national activities, the national Fly-In/Convention, newsletters, web site and etc. The amount is still being investigated but will be a nominal amount. State chapters may require a nominal individual dues as per their chapter membership.
