We flew over Jefferson City MO for about 35 to 40 min @ 3000 ft. We had 3 prayer warriors;Pastor, Mark Kummer, Elder, Bob Bassnett,Christian friend, Jim Erbsloe. Prayer in the air was great,I would look forward to doing it again. God bless you for your good work. Gary (Missouri) We flew across Newagyo, Kent, Ionia, Ingham and Montcalm counties. We Flew over Grand Rapids and Lansing Michigan. Lansing State Capitol. We were able to pray in flight the entire trip. The air traffic control allowed us to circle the state capitol. We felt wonderful at the sight of all the people on the lawn of the capitol awaiting the start to National Day of Prayer. We give praise and thanks to God for safe flight and continued blessings. Tim and Lori (Michigan) We departed Yuma (S W corner of AZ) and overflew Phoenix (Capital of AZ) at 7,500 ft. Rev. Billy Britain and Rev. David Power flew with me. They are superb prayer warriors. The plan was to enter the Class Bravo airspace and overfly the Phoenix VOR. Phoenix Approach Control (without knowing we were a prayer flight) requested we accept vectors through the area. They routed us over the west edge of the international airport, near the State Capitol and State Congress, near the sports venues, over the largest Church in the area, over several schools and a couple of airports. On our departure from the area we passed almost over Luke Air Force Base, and in Yuma returned to Yuma International/MCAS Yuma. It was wonderful to pray for all of those places and people. Total flight 2.3 hrs. There was a very sweet sense of the Lord's presence in the plane, as we prayed in the hangar prior to departure, and as we prayed with Pastors in the city of Yuma earlier in the day. The Chaplain of the joint Legislatures of AZ told me they would pray for our prayer flight at noon as we would be passing over. We are very blessed and honored to be a part of Prayer Flight 2008. Ray (Arizona) We flew over Burlington and Mercer counties and over, Trenton, the State Capital We arrived over the capitol at precisely 1200 hours on 1 May. My friend, Bill Ward , piloted the Piper, PA 28, while I took pictures and my wife Amybeth prayed. Amybeth prayed continuously from our South Jersey Regional Aiirport departure through entering and exiting the State Capital airspace. Amybeth shared the prayerflight experience with other prayer wariors on the ground through a cell phone conference call. New Jersey looked a little brighter upon our return home. God is good. Bruce (New Jersey) Mission Complete! The weather was not nice but the prayer was awesome. We had ENE winds 25mph gusting to 40+mph. Ceilings low but spirits high. We got started with prayer at 12:30pm CST. I flew helicopter N106AM from my home town of Beulah, ND to Bismarck ND. I landed in the church parking lot to pick up Pastors Paul and Pastor Allen both from Century Baptist Church in Bismarck and flew around the Capital of Bismarck praying for our Nation and leaders and people. I returned to the church parking lot and dropped off the two prayer warriors and headed back to my home of Beulah. Everything went without incident and it was fun. Thanks for the wonderful opportunity to accomplish something like this and bring honor to our King. I have attached a few pictures. Feel free to use them however you want. The weather was bad so they did not turn out very nice. Shawn (North Dakota) Greetings, I was privledged to participate in the first ever prayer flight as a prayer warrior/pilot. We overflew Frankfort the capitol of Kentucky. Our flight went well with good weather and being able to overfly the capitol unabated. I am looking forward to GOD answering our prayers according to 2nd Chronicles 7:14! GOD most assuredly is Good! Brendan (Kentucky) Flew new light-sport weight-shift control (trike) out of Carson City Airport over to the Capital. My wife Loretta was the Prayer Warrior. We flew as low as we could and up to 11,000 feet to pray with Lake Tahoe in view. See Pictures. The weather has been unflyable until the wind calmed down today for our Prayerflight Paul Hamilton (Nevada) Flew from Culpeper VA, (KCJR) to Annapolis, MD and circled the capital city of Maryland. Also, completely circled the Nations Capital. I have some pictures dispite the rain, but weather was still VFR. Had some great help from the TRACON that handles BWI, DCA, IAD, and the FRZ that prohibits flight in the DCA area. The controllers are to be given a huge thank you at POTOMAC TRACON. Will send additional info to Mike via e-mail once I have any suitable pictures sorted. What a blessing, praise GOD. In HIS service, Mark (Maryland, Washington D.C.) We flew over the capitol building at exactly 12:00! - City of Olympia, Thurston county, and then flew south to Lewis and Cowlitz counties. We prayed constantly and felt in awe of God and this wonderful mission. Thank you so much for the opportunity!! Jan (Washington) We flew in New York State. Our flight began in Brockport, a small airport just outside the air boundaries of Rochester International Airport. Our flight path took us through Rochester airspace, Syracuse air space, Griefiss (Utica) air space and then Albany air space, site of our capital. The weather was hazy and got moreso as we approached the capital. Fortunately, the capital district has several tall buildings that can be seen at high altitude, even in haze. We obtained perm, ission to fly through the Albany airspace at a headeing that took us directly over the capital buildings. I began praying at the Albany city limits and continued until we overflew the capital. I felt the Holy Spirit's presence as I only experienced one interruption from the air traffic controller over the headset. I was impressed at how comprehensive the prayer format was. It covered many facets of government and life. I feel like I've been to a mission field. Being able to pray at 6,500 feet is a blessing. I believe it was a "good work" appointed by the Lord. From God's viewpoint, we look pretty small from the heavens, but HE cares for every one of us. There is nothing to compare with lifting up a city and a state to the Lord that HE might bring conviction toward salvation. I had great fellowship with my pilot friend. We both praised God for the opportunity and the blessing. Thank you. Daniel (New York) I flew over the villages of Chuathbaluk, Aniak, Nondalton, Iliamna, and Pedro Bay in the state of Alaska. In most of these villages I could recall those who are ministering in these villages, pushing back the darkness and shining the Light of Christ. Although these villages are seperted by a hundred miles, the body of Christ is united, which explifies how might is our God. At the same time, I felt very insignificant in comparison to the size of His creation here in Alaska. Yet, I recalled many of God's imperfect and what some would consider insignificant people in the Bible that God displayed His power through. As I reflect on that and consider the ministry field in Alaska I'm confident and humbled to believe that nothing is impossible with God and He will call His people to Himself. "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9 Knowing the power of prayer and supplication I will continue to pray for and plead on behalf of His people in Alaska. Angela (Alaska) The approach to rnwy 24 in Frankfort,KY took us right over the Capital building. We started our prayer assignments 10 miles out from the airport close to noon and had a good flight up and back and enjoyed some great male bonding while in the air and eating lunch in Frankfort. The whole experience was a great blessing. Onward and upward, Dennis (Kentucky) Pilots for Christ pilots Lianetta Ruettgers and Lee DeArmond along with prayer warrior Jim Smith flew on the National Day of Prayer over Richmond, VA. We departed Manassas, VA in a light mist but the weather improved as we flew south. While not a picture perfect day in terms of weather, our souls were lifted as we joined in this effort to pray for our nation. Thanks to PrayerFlight for the opportunity. God Bless you. Lee DeArmond President, Pilots for Christ, International (Virginia) We flew over Raleigh, NC ... Took off from Concord, NC picked up Prayer Warriors at lake Norman Airport flew diect to Raleigh, NC went in said our prayers took some pics and retunred 3 hour flight in total. It was humbly and very meaningful... Since being involved I have committed to fly over our country the 1st Monday of every month and solicit our leaders for prayer request. We have done one and will be doing another one next week. Thank you for the opportunity... Jim (North Carolina) The Nebraska Prayer Flight took place between 12:00 and 1:00 pm on May 1, 2008. The flight encompassed Lincoln, NE and environs. Rev. J. P. Carlson, Eastridge Presbyterian Church, was the Prayer Warrior. He stated that praying while in flight gave him new insights and was personally rewarding. The flight and participants were mentioned during the National Day of Prayer observance in the Nebraska Capitol. Darryl (Nebraska) Oklahoma County, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. AirOne Flight Academy donated two aircraft for flights over the state capital at noon today. N9463D, flown by Hal Harris and Matt Reust, passenger and prayer warrior, Maricris Manglicmot-Harris and Hal Harris prayed for our city, state, and nation and took pictures for this flight. N4891J, flown by Yuko Hasegawa and Joe Melad, with Rev. Makise praying for our city, state, and nation. Ours was a multi-cultural flight by several christian denominations. Maricris Manglicmot-Harris and Joe Melad are Filipino. Yuko Hasegawa and Rev. Makise are from Japan. Hal Harris was born and raised in Oklahoma City (Okie). Matt Reust was born in Texas, raised in Oklahoma. This flight was very meaningful, Hal had attended a small business seminar at the state capital last week, and hearing the house and senate floors vote on bills brought this close to home. With all of the corruption in our government we need to pray for our government leaders and pray that the few honest people in government can continue to do their part to keep our government honest and moving forward with a fairness for all affected by their decisions. I hope our actions and prayers will have a positive effect upon all our government leaders and give the few honest leaders the courage to speak up and do what is right for the citizens of this great country and our government. We need to help one another. Hal (Oklahoma) We flew overhead the State Capitol, Augusta,Maine right at 12 noon today in prayer. We were happily suprised to have another aircraft on station at the same time, and we both circled for several minutes. We ended our time by praying together on the radio before we went our separate ways. God is great - count me in for next year! Mark (Maine) We flew on Saturday, 5/3 due to heavy snow on 5/1. Flew from Colo Springs to Denver over Capitol. Prayed over 7 centers of power: Pikes Peak mountain (for city) Air Force Academy (education and military), Focus on the Family campus (family), New LIfe Church (church) Capitol (Government), Pepsi Center, Coors Field (Media, Classical Academy (Education), Downtown (Business) Araphaoe, El Paso, Douglas, Jefferson, and Denver counties. God blessed and met with 4 of us in plane. Praying over these familiar sites from the air, gave bigger perspective of God's view and intentions for people living below. His power, mercy, grace, love, purposes are more clearly evident in flight with larger landscape. He ordained all the institutions represented below and covets our praise and petition to Him. We repented for the sins in homes, institutions and landscape. Prayed thankfulness for CO preamble giving God praise. What a privilege to join in unified prayer in the air!AGAPE Lisa (Colorado) We finally were blessed with clear skies and calm winds on Monday, May 5. We left Elizabethtown, Ky headed for Frankfort, Ky. Along the way we over flew our county seat and prayed for our county and city goverment. we also flew over Bardstown, KY and prayed for that city as well. My prayer Warrior was Theresa Mullins who is a Ministry Assistant at my church. Theresa did a great job as she prayed Scripture over the cities and seats of government that were in our flight path. On the way home she read a Psalm that capped the flight We overflew Frank fort at 5500 feet and circled the Capitol Building twice and the city twice. This is he first time I have ever flown for other than my opwn pleasure and it was a very rewarding experience. I look forward o the next flight. When is it and where do you want me to go? Roy (Kentucky) Greetings from the QUAD CITIES - DAV IA On Thurs, May 1, 2008 -- After our Prayer Breakfast in DAV, Pilots Terri & Gene Fields & Warrior Linda Massie flew Terri's Piper from DAV to SPI IL to PRAY over the ILLINOIS STATE CAPITOL at 12noon. We dedicated the aircraft with a Patriotic Banner, Cross and Flag before take-off. Linda led SONGS of PRAISE & PRAYERS the entire flight. In addition to the Natl Day of Prayer guideliness to PRAY --- Linda led PRAYER from her Personal Prayer Journal & Prayer Strategies by Ruth Shinness. God's precious annointing was flowing all day long. Even with storm clouds around -- we had a smooth flight. As a PrayerFlight Team, we would be honored to participate in future PrayerFlight events. PRAY for Linda's HEALING RESTORATION in 2008! "Because He LIVES..." Sister Linda (Iowa) We finally had good winds and were able to make a beautiful flight over Eureka Springs, Arkansas and the famous Christ of the Ozarks statue this morning. Perry Evans and I piloted his Super Cub this morning at 9:00 am over the Statue, all local schools, our hospital and governmental buildings. It was a pleasure to make this flight. Thank you from both of us for allowing us to participate in the National Day of Prayer. May we have a National Day of Prayer "everyday". Dave (Arkansas) Four men from our congregation flew to the capital and circled the city covering it in prayer. The view from above brought home how big our God truly is...knowing each individual below and caring deeply for them and for us. It was humbling. Mark (Missouri) Our flight took off from Bremerton National Airport, (Washington State), with two prayer warriors (Merryam and Penny) and headed for Auburn Airport to meet up with another Prayer Flight. Both pilots are members of the Washington State chapter of Pilots for Christ. Before our flights we prayed as a group and took some photos. The flights took off at noon and headed separate directions. The flight I was piloting headed west towards the Pacific Ocean. Our route was over Federal Way, Gig Harbor, Shelton, Hoquiam, Raymond, Rochester, Eatonville, Orting, Sumner and back to Auburn. The following counties were covered in prayer: King, Pierce, Kitsap, Mason, Grays Harbor, Pacific and Thurston. As we flew over points of interest (such as prisons) I would point them out and asked for specific prayers. At one point my co-pilot wife took over the flying duties so I could pray also. I prayed for the Holy Spirit to come to the rural areas and bring people to the Lord. We flew over a lot of areas with logging roads, but never saw any loggers. I prayed that the Lord would provide for the families that depended on the timber industry. After our flight we met up again with the other flight to pray and have fellowship time. After an early dinner, Merryam, Penny and I flew back to Bremerton and were very thankful that we didn’t have to sit through the freeway traffic. It was an honor to be able to fly people who committed the entire time to prayer. I am always amazed at the vastness of our state and the many uninhabited areas. Every time I fly I just can't understand how anyone can think this all happened by chance. Steve (Washington) |
